Default 00 1500 starting problem

i have a completely stock 00 Z71, it doesn't like starting when its been sitting, something with the fuel? after you try to start it, then shut the key off and start it again it'll start, just seems like its not getting fuel at the first time. It happens everytime you go to start it the first time. if you shut it off and turn it right back on, there is no problem. thanks for the help

try turning the key to on and then waiting 5 seconds then starting it

if it fires right up i'd say yeah the fuel pump is going out

Could also be the pressure regulator. If the seals are going out in it, then the rail doesn't stay pressurized and the engine isn't getting the fuel it's needing.
