gauge cluster problems

Default gauge cluster problems

2004 silverado

having problems with my cluster sometimes it just dosent work, nothing works but the blinkers.Im sure ill have to just replace the cluster.Anybody else have this problem?

Nothing at all works? I know there was a big big issue with stepper motors going out on the 03-up clusters(I forget exactly which years), but I've never heard of the entire cluster falling victim to that.

Had this happen to me one time. Whole custer went dead also cruise and radio wouldn't work. Changed the cluster when the stepper went out in speedo and haven't had any more trouble. FYI Go to a GM dealership if you have less than 75k miles and they will change the cluster for free under a type of recall. I payed at first then they refunded me my money.

There's a link on post 1 with a pdf I posted up. Just look at the 5th page of the pdf to see if you qualify to change it under warranty.
