Diablo intune i1000, how good and safe is it?

Unplugging aftermarket stuff is not a bad idea...fuses should be fine.
As Mike said aftermarket stuff. Is any of that tied to the OBD2 port or the power source from that or the cigarette lighter???

If you got sweat on the MAF sensor after your mechanic cleaned it then it will need to be cleaned again. The oil's in your sweat can contaminate the sensor. Any moisture for that matter can contaminate the sensor.

if it didnt come from GM, and its wired into your harness, it can be an issue.
