Default 02 Silvy-ABS light on, pump runs continuously

02 Sliverado LS

Someone told my truck the warranty ran out so its paying me back for living a hard life when it was new

Anyway the ABS light came on this morning, with key on or off pump runs continuously. I pulled the 60 amp fuse so it doesnt burn up...

Anyone know what this could possibly be? Stuck relay maybe??? I dont have a scanner. Hoping one of you guys have been through this and know of a fix

Not a good time, been unemployed for awhile. Hoping for a DIY fix (riiiiight!)

Apprently this is the common problem and a cheaper fix. Was just quoted $1000 for the dealer to fix, maybe this will help some of you.

Anyone have a cheap used one they wanna sell?
Interesting note, the TC light coming on for no reason (which mine did last mnth) seems to be an early warning this unit is about to take a nose dive.

Maybe this will help someone.

I also just heard from a freidn who owns a brake shop that exact rpblem was also solved through replacing the relay for it. Anyone know which one/where it is? I looked at the one fusebox under the hood and didnt see a relay marked ABS.

if you didn't already know it's your abs module. One of the mosfet connectors inside of it likes to burn up. There was a guy on fullsizechevy that fixed it himself with a simple trip to radioshack. He spent less than $10 fixing his.

I on the otherhand didn't make it out so easy. I paid $4xx from gmparts direct for a new abs module. Problem solved so far.
