I have had 3 454SS trucks and the market is down on them right now.Plus all the people I talk to that buy and sell these trucks always say that the modded out trucks with big changes dont bring as much money. These are limited edition trucks and people want them as stock as possible.I had 2 black 90 models and a white 92 model.

i understand the market is down right now and some people want a "collector truck" to be as close to stock as possible but there are also people who want to buy a truck to drive, have fun in and not worry about depreciation. i know there are nicer trucks out there for sale for around the same price but why buy something you are afraid to drive because you might get a door ding or rock chip? my dad has a 67 vette, in the summer he drives it almost every weekend, people ask him why he drives it and doesnt trailer it places, he tells them "its just another car, it was meant to be driven." i guess thats something i get from him.....

I've wanted one since I was about 11 or 12, but no can do. I've got school and no money, plus my '86. I've done almost all the work on my truck, so believe me I would take care of it, but I share your sentiments. It's a vehicle, and should be driven. I like what your dad said.
I hope to be looking forward to seeing pictures of the rebuild. Would you be keeping it in stock trim?
