When you say iron block 5.7, what exactly did the engine start as, a 5.3 or a 5.7? What was the engine out of?

Would have to start as 4.8/5.3 as a stock 5.7 is aluminum if it's a Gen 3

The engine started life as an 02 4.8.

Its a nice truck but I dont know if he is really ready to get rid of it. He didnt seem that interested in trading. Said he wanted good gas mileage, my ext cab gets 19/20 in city driving hard, and 22/23 on the interstate fairly easy. Thats pretty good IMO. He said he wanted stock or close to it, I am only running tune,intake, exhaust. It just didnt seem like he was really ready to get rid of it, but free bump for him and it really is a nice truck.

Thats pretty good mpg for a ext cab. Thats about what I get with my RC.

I'm looking for a track toy. Not commited to anything yet.
