i havent done much to mine yet but i wouldnt hesitate to try it. my dad was real into the old school muscle cars, had a late 60s lemans with a 550rwhp 402 bigblock 4speed, from what i have heard it was baaad. only things i wouldnt touch are automatic trans internals, rear diff. internals, exhaust bending and welding, paint/body work, and upholstrey ( not including katzkins) anything else is fair game, my dad built a few SBCs in his day and i think we could buld a gen3 motor if necessary

I do all my own work, even the tuning. This is why I got into doing tuning I dont like having to depend on others if I have a issue. If you know how to do it then you dont have to get a appointment and wait for it to be fixed or modded. Granted there are some things I wont do, example I can paint but I wouldnt paint my truck myself. Some stuff is left to the pros.....

I have done all work on my truck minus paint and building of my exhaust. Ive had a hand once in a while moving things around. For the first swap i had an experienced person give alot of insight. I also do all my own tuning, i tune for others as well. i also wrench on selected few rides. As some know i recently assembled a motor and did all the install work. I even went as for as making standalone harness's to allow the LS series motors to work in different vehicles. I retained alot of my knowledge from books, asking questions, Ls1tech & PT tech, a good friend and just common sense and mechanical background from growing up. Its kinda a good feeling to have ppl ask you questions or ask for help with installs and etc. I dont even charge much or do it for nothing just to see the results. PPL may dislike my personality but not to many will bad mouth my work or work habits.

I'm like everybody else. There's a few things I won't touch like trannys, gears, and welding exhausts, but everything else I have done myself. The only other thing I needed help on was my cam, but I helped as much as I could when Cody(1slow01z71) did it. I tried not to stand around too much.

I do pretty much everything with the exception of gear setup, exhaust, and I don't have a lift readily available so the laying on your back droppin a nut to get the tranny out is best left for the shop.

I have done everything on mine but the ring and pinion gears.
I have never lined one up before so I took to a shop that did axle's only.
Damn come to think about it, I've done allot of **** to my truck.
