I see some with a whole lot more wheels than that down here in by the port of houston.... yeah that's why roads are all messed up!!

some state's DOT require x amount axles for x amount of pounds for loads.

They do that to spread the weight out over a larger area on the road and for more support for bed of the trailer. And yea it is crazy lookin lol
