i would seriously consider buying a set if they were 1 7/8 primaries with a 3" y-pipe. would the y-pipe bolt to the stock cat-back?

I would also agree that the slip fit would be an issue for me too. I don't disagree that they can be put together well enough not to leak, but after a short time getting a slip fit connection back apart is almost impossible with out damage. I guess as long as you plan on never having to take the transmission out that won't be a problem. I don't mind the slip fit on the y pipe but I think it is terrible on the collector when there are better options that allow for easy removal and still seal perfectly.

I do not have a price on them yet, however I can tell you that they will not be as cheap as LPP..I have no controll over that.. Second for you guys that must have a a diff connection style then a slip fit.. They will weld diff style connections on the collector ends( of course for additional charge)

I would entertain the option of a 1-7/8" primary/3" collector header with matching 3" into 3.5" offroad y-pipe.

My slip fit StainlessWorks don't leak at all, and I must say that the quality of these headers and y-pipe are top notch! The supplied band clamps are idiot proof and work excellently

So my question is when you get that new trans your saving for are you going to be able to get them back apart to install it without cutting or otherwise damaging the headers?

My issue with slip fit is after a year or two of being stuck together they don't like to come back apart.

Doesn't really matter to me I guess since I don't have extra money to spend on anything right now anyway.

Def will be able to.. SS doesn't rust or corrode like standard steel.. That is what I am trying to say.. Guys that want to keep steel, yes a diff style connection would be better. SS the slip fit works well, you are not going to run into the issues you would with a reg steel app.. Also some trucks very, are not the same and the slip fit allows you to move it in or out on the pipes vs a ball or gasket style connection. I do totally hear what your saying and this has been passed onto the guys at SW's
