Default will Jello hurt my cooling system??????

me and the buds were out slinging some mud off road today.
when we got to the car wash to hose off i kept smelling hot antifreeze
around the hood.
sure enough a stick must have hit the radiator and took out two of the cores.
no auto parts around we went to the store and picked up a few boxs of jello, it took about 7 boxs before it jelled up enough to stop leaking and make the drive home.

for some reason it got really hot, we peged the gauge several times past 260, so we stoped and let it cool, stoped and let it cool, in all it took about 3 hours to drive 18 miles.
with the hood up and the electric fans on the air was pretty cool off of the radiator, i just don't understand why it got so smokin hot.

Swear I was watching McGyver by no choice of my own I mind you, but sure enough he had to escape a situation, and there was nothing on the property but a rusted old jeep with a bullet holed radiator...and chickens. Sure enough he patched .45acp holes with egg whites, which i am told by old timers would work in a pinch

next time just fill your radiator with gasoline, it exchanges heat better!

I always thought tampons were good for stopping up a leaky hole.

If you marry my ex, there will be some hidden in the vehicle somewhere.
