Default Wifes Epic F'in Fail

Wife had a girls night out.....calls me a while ago when she was leaving, says she just backed into a pole.

In her words "My drunkness had nothing to do with this"

****. She said, but arent those taillights after market? I said yeah, she said good they we only $60 bucks huh? I said try $360...and you cant buy just one taillight.....

Here it is, luckily the blinker, runner, brake and reverse all still work so she can just drive the damn thing like that for now. I wanted to get some stuff on it painted, looks like I'll be doing that sooner rather than later now....

She's sulking in the bedroom now so I gotta go tell her its ok....

I say pay the 500, go to the dealership for the repair bill quote, and show that to the insurance company. Its likely to be more than you'll really need, so you can use the rest on whatever else you feel like.

Damn that sucks, the only bright side is that she's alright and the cops didn't show up. It's only parts and they can be replaced, that won't make it any easier right now but it'll work out.

Well its a family vehicle and you see whos driving it, so I dont want to remove the moldings, besides they are colormatched already as well as the handles.....I think a suburban looks retarded without moldings.

I suggested a rollpan the the bumper is fucked, but hell I need that bumper and tow hitch cause my truck doesnt have one......I do want to get the black pieces above the taillights colormatched.

As far as showing the big bill to ins and trying to use the rest, no go. These days insurance wont just cut you a check for a certain amount of money, they want the estimate from the bodyshop and they want to bodyshop to sign off on it when its done......least thats what happened the last few times with me
