Wife needs an SUV. What to get???

When you get tired of looking, take a Nissan Xterra for a ride. My life loves hers like I love my truck. It's a solid, solid machine. Make sure it's a 4.0 litre. Peppy and great on the highway.

Can't say that I have any kids, but looking at the GMC site I'm liking the 2011 Acadia Denali. It has all of the conveniences for the Mommy on the Go.... I've driven the Sierra Denali over the summer and I was quite impressed with the handling.. and I'm sure the Acadia wouldn't be a far cry. The Acadia she wouldn't have to do any climbing in. Just a thought.

Look into acadia/traverse/enclave, we bought a traverse last summer and we are really imprrssed with it, we have had tahoes in the past and we still like the traverse more, ours has the 4 capt chairs plus the rear bench, and has plenty of room behind the rear bench aswell which is a plus compared to the tahoe.... and the 22+mpg is great considering the size of it.

I drove one of the newer Tahoes last year for work. I was tempted to go but one. I did have a Jeep Commander for a while. It was pretty comfortable but 18mpg highway and 14 city wasn't cool. Ex still has it and loves it.

just tossing this idea into the pot, the new 2011 linchon mkx. my uncle just just got my aunt this for xmas and she loves it. Now im talking about a women that has never driven anything but a Caddy her entire life and this thing is her baby i cant even convince her to let me drive it
. 300 horse AWD good in the winter, plenty of room for 2 adults my size (6'2 225lbs) in that back with lots of leg room and room side to side. and enough room for cargo when taking a trip. plus if you drive like a granny like my uncle and aunt leading the paraid you can get over 25+ mpg.

I would not go for the Acadia Denali though. Way more money for little more features and what essentially looks like a body kit.

thanks for everybodys input. i think weve decided on a Tahoe or a Denali. Did the six speeds in the Tahoes start in 08 or 09? some 08 adds i see say 4 speed and some say 6 speed. was it an ooption then or are the full of ****?
