hey everyone.
Ive been looking at buying a Ls2 GTO t56 online just for daily driving and having fun with.
Problem is in Canada they were never sold, so I cant just go out and test drive one for myself and see how I like them. I do have a young son and would like to be able to adapt his car seat in the back, but not 100% needed as I have other cars.
Just curious what owners Liked and Dislike about there ls gto?
let me know your feedback, its much appreaciated

I had an 06. It was a fun car, definitely need to get a M6 IMO. I wouldn't drive an auto. Likes - unique, 400hp bone stock doesn't suck, fun to drive, GM's best kept secret at the time, true definition of muscle car (V8, fast, relatively cheap), great handling. Dislikes - heavy, I think they look old and dated now (I sold mine in 2010), good luck finding one with low mileage, too many douchebags drive them (I was used to how laid back truck guys were, never could click with some of the ******** who thought their GTO was an exotic sports car), suspension bushings have issues.

Thanks for the insight. I am amware of the common issues thye have, but would replace all that with probably a pedders or Lovells setup.
They are definetly dated, and alot of people really think there ugly. Definetly a very plan and bland looking car, which IMO, would be great. Just looks like a long Pontiac G5/pursuit.
Was yours modded at all? How did it ride? Lots of room outback?

Mine was completely stock, it was my daily driver when I had my blue truck that was broken all the time. Only thing I ever did to it was add a short throw shifter and a short stick, which made a huge difference in feel getting rid of the floppy stock shifter. It rode great, tons of room in the back seat (just a pain to get back there, the seats are slow), and a pretty good size trunk. I miss it sometimes...definitely was a fun car to drive. I did like how "bland" it was most of the time, easy to blend in. Overall it was a great car, a few minor things but that's the same with any car.

Had an 04 ls1. I loved the car, had long tubes w/x-pipe. Beat stock ls2 camaro's but would t touch ls3's. The interior fell apart and had tons of body roll in the corners but other than that I have nothing bad to say about the car.

Good luck with the search!
