I was going to wait until the misfire problem was figured out but Im just going to go ahead and put it in and hope that when I get the crank relearn done monday that it will run good.

When **** goes wrong, working on the truck is no fun.

 

Yes! it gets old but having a fast truck that beats up on everything makes it worth it to me. Truck has been down 2 weeks looking for a good tranny shop in my area to rebuild. Can't complane to much 4l80e trans lasted a year+half of major abuse on street and track.

If i break it i build it stronger.

im certainly pissed with mine, i havent really driven it since april... when the transmission went out. days after the transmission was replaced the rear end started acting up... finally crapped out about 2 months ago...sitting every since because i dont have money to fix it. on top of that it has an overheating problem that i havent pinpointed... the fuel sending unit is going out, not to mention abs lights staring me in the face. and to add insult to injury its just generally running like ****... which i think can be attributed to the 4 electrode bosh platinums im running... and perhaps clogged cats with 130k on the clock. and its a 4.8... so im constantly getting my *** kicked when it does run. i still love the truck though.

 

You just need to work faster 80 hrs ptttt. It took me 10 yesterday to do heads, cam and springs. with the wife bitching at me and some O ring problems Wait I didnt put the engine cover back on, so I guess its not done yet

 

Yeah well me and MjHoward just got through working on his cam and headers we will start working on mine tomorrow.

I'm tired for sure. If I could get this thing running like its supposed to, I might not. But here lately I spend more time wrenching on the truck or trying to diagnose problems more than I do anything else. I have come so close the last few weeks to just buying something else its crazy.
