Who knows alot about Ford 3.0 V6's??
Last night my daughter wrecked her truck. Thankfully she's okay, but I think it might be cheaper & easier to replace the truck, than to try patching it back up for her. It's a '95 Ranger with a 3.0 V6.
I was cruising CL and found a '99 with a bad 3.0 engine, and I'm trying to make sure that I can swap her engine into the '99. I found this link, and I think it will bolt right in and be okay. Rebuilding The Ford 3.0L Engine
What do you guys say?

She try some Travis Pastrana moves in the woods Wikipedia says they gave it more power in '00 (part changes), so you might be fine.
Edit-said they went distributorless in '96, long block might be the same though.

So are we! Thank you!
Had a buddy from a frame/body shop come over and take a look at it, just in case the frame horns could be straightened. He showed me where the left frame horn buckled, where the cab buckled causing the doors to bind up on the hinges & latches, and where the right frame rail is bent behind the cab. Also, the right side of the cab had slid forward over an inch on the frame, and there's a BIG gap between the cab and bed now.
Looking for another Ranger or Explorer with a blown engine, to put her engine into. She's a full time college student with a part time job, and money's tight.
