i got an email address on someone, if it turns out to be the right person i want to sue the **** out of them.

 

It depends what kind of email address it is. Anyone can technically make an email address with little to no traceability. You might be able to pull and IP address which would be useful, but if they used a public place it's almost impossible.

 

Depending on what email service you use, if you open the email and check the email headers, it should have an IP address from the computer or servers it was sent from.

 

is it a hotmail or yahoo or gmail or something of that nature?

you should look at the headers.. it will tell u if it was spam, or not .. by seeing if the from address went through the right servers.
but.. it doesnt mean that its someone else impersonating you, or in the case of most mass emailing trojans it may not be from the person you see it from
its called envelope vs address.. some are not tracable.

 

Search it on face book and myspace, see if they have a page there with it,

 

it is a yahoo address, i'll send it to you.

the name is fake, im just surprised that it poped back up in use again.
i know her real name, last time i was one week late in getting her served before she droped off the face of the earth.
if it comes back that it is her i'll give the privite investagator all the information and get this ball rolling again for court.
