I own a landscaping company and all I run is Sthil. It is THE BEST there is. I promise, if you buy a sthil and take care of it. You won't have to buy another for at least 15 years. No joke. I use mine every day for an average of 6 hours. Figure it out, the average home owner uses one for an hour a week, say 25 weeks out of the year. Thats 25 hours a year, times 15 thats 375. I've had mine for 3 years work it 6 hours a day about 35 weeks a year. Thats 630 hours! It still starts up on the first time every time. Don't waste money on a lowe's or home depot brand crap. You get what you pay for.

yep same here but i use echo. i would use a sthil though. echo is easier to get ahold of around here and its never done me wrong.

oh and i serously doubt your weedeater runs for 6 hours per day...ill knock out 5-7 yards a day when i work alone and i would say the weedeater only runs for about 1 hour over all of those lawns. 6 hours is some SEROUS acerage or your mowing entire yards with just a weedeater.

Yea, 6 was probably an exaggeration, but honestly it goes for at least 3. I do about 10-12 accounts a day. But regardless, it will still last.

I personally use Stihl. Mine also has a half shaft so I can also put an edger attachment on.
I would recommend whatever weedeater you purchase, that it has the pull start on the rear of the motor, not between the motor and the shaft. This indicates that the engine crank has two main bearings as opposed to one.
That is why the Stihl is so durable.
