What's the perfect compliment to something big, heavy, and quick in a straight line?

Is this one of these jokes that starts with......what do fat chicks, mopeds and miatas have in common?
Just kidding man. Years ago when I was out street racing there was one of these that use to come out that had a ford 5.0 conversion in. It that was pretty quick and the mustang guys use to give the guy ****. Well at least until they lined up and lost! With gas prices these days I think a good little economy DD is a good idea. Vince

No it would, it would just be possessed and become a ******* demon to anyone who wants to race it, drag strip and hairpin turns alike. Not to tell you what to do with it, its your car lol, do what you like with it by all means. But spinning with the same amount of torque as your truck has wouldn't be near as much of an issue on the car as you think it would be. Of course it would break loose easily if you push too far down on the accelerator, but since its lighter it has less inertia, and less resistance to acceleration = less spinning
I'd V8 swap one of those in a heartbeat if I had the time and money.

Plus, I've already got something with an LSx in it, why not learn how to make power out of another engine?

4.8 crank/rods with ARP/Katech bolts, 5.7 aluminum block, milled/VJ/BB 243 heads, forged 3.898 pistons, coated everything (heat/friction/oil shedding), and a TBSS/GMT900 intake w/ 90MM throttle body. Then add two GT2871 ball bearing turbos for fun on the top-end. Mate to a TR6060 and drop in a nice 8.8 built center section with half shafts to match.

That's just what I would do.
Congrats on the new car.

.Plus, with that short stroke 4.8 crank and good valvetrain components, he'd end up with a wider rev range that would be conducive to running on a road course if he so chooses.

Sorry Dan, that's just me dreaming about what I'd build. Keep that sucker OE and add a turbo like you said.
