besides a bunch of oil wells...

I'll be up there for a few weeks working here shortly. Its a 1700ish mile drive from here, I'll be taking my service truck... that should be a fun ride LOL.

Anyone been up there?

 

Not a lot lol. I have been looking at some engineering positions up there... Williston has lots of jobs, and from what I hear, lots of cheap entertainment. Cheap meaning stuff to keep the huge influx of oil workers busy. I used to be stationed up near there when I was in the AF...not really a ton of things to do, but if you want nice summer weather and do outdoorsy stuff, then it'll be a nice place to stay for a little while.

 

Years ago Williston was the place to go for Saskatchewan residents wanting cheap weekend vacations, shopping at Payless Shoes! That has since changed, cause it's really busy and there are no deals to be had shopping anymore. But in my experience, ND residents are the friendliest people on the planet, and if nothing else Williston has world class strippers!:jerkit:

 

well at least strippers are a plus!!!

I probably wont have much time to sight-see but we may get part of a day off every few...

 

Ya they can make 5 grand a night there, so I'm told. If someone rolls into town looking for a job he's usually told to hit up the ripper bar. They're like an informal job fair.
