Default What to do?

Here's the situation, I rent a room from a couple in a large house, I've known them 2 months now. The neighbor's gardener was using one of those industrial weed whackers to trim around the vineyard and was kicking up rocks all over my truck.
There are small but deep chips thru the paint. Granted, they are small but there are at least 12 chips in my paint from the rear panel to the front fender and a nice new chip on the hood too.
So this gardening took place the Saturday before last and I didn't know until today when i inspected after washing. The daughter of the couple i live with had her window chipped (she noticed right away) and he agreed to pay for a replacement.
Do i press for a new whole right side? Do i just live with the little chips? You can't really see them unless you look but I CAN.

So, what do I do? Call my insurance? Ask the people here to talk to the neighbor? Live with it? None are good options to me. Looking for your opinion.

If you can see them, others can too, Got to be careful on this one, you live with them, how is your relationship with them? I vote to approach them in a respectable way of course and express your feelings about your truck, press the issue, but be strategic..lol

Yeah, the people i live with, Eric and Roxanne are pretty cool and I don't want to cause any issues between them and their neighbors but this is blatantly the neighbor's responsibility. I talked to Rox only as Eric isn't home yet but she said they are just neighbors not good friends. I'll see Eric later tonight or tomorrow.

I kind of have the same problem, not to the extent as you but where I park my truck, its right under a tree...and this tree keeps fukin droppin little small black dots all over the truck, EVERYWHERE ...pissin me off seein I havnt had my truck only but a few weeks...

I really like my landlords and dont wanna be an ***...they have a big enough driveway where I can park in there too but I started to park on the opposite side of the street and they asked me why...and I showed him my truck and he said well dont they make car covers for this yet? I just started laughing...yeah everyday Im gonna cover/uncover my truck to go for a ride...

but just like you I like where I live and its very reasonable for this area...so this tree should be done shitting in a few weeks...hopefully...lol

Even if it's minor damage, it is your truck and you shouldn't feel guilty for wanting your truck returned to it's prior condition.

Here is what I would do. I would approach them about the gardener. Tell them you think they should have a talk with the gardener to have him be more careful because he keeps throwing rocks on your truck. Mention the fact that they had to replace the window already for the daughter. So he should be more careful.

If you approach them about being preventive, that leaves the ball in their court to decide to help you with your scratches or not so you don't look like your being an ***. Which your not.

Some ****** knocked my bumper in a week or two ago and drove off with no note, I wanted to take a baseball bat to that ********'s car. Every single dent, accident whatever on my truck (there's about 8 separate spots) is due to people hitting it and leaving. Pisses me the **** off. Nothing I can really do about it either. I'd say your in a tough position. Not sure what I'd do.
