Its got a custom nitrous cam that's been in it for a long time, but at this point I think its actually hurting more than its helping, too much overlap for boost

I'm not gonna turn another wrench on this motor besides pulling it out.... And just maintenance. The new motor will have a nice purpose cut turbo cam in it... This one is running good, just bleeding some boost. I think with the age of this motor, that's probably a good thing. The new cam specs theirselves will probably have even smaller numbers than this one... Even for more cubes. More like what you've got in 'blue... Something in that range.

Those are great numbers. The more posts I see regarding turbos the more it makes me want to start performance modding my 05. Ive got a 5.3 going in my project car that i may try to turbo. Great work.

I didn't think it was too shabby for boost only 6psi.... Hopefully I can run 9 without running into knock. Ill probably back a little timing out and add some race fuel when it gets turned up...

This tune is NOT on the ragged edge either, 11.0 AFR and still fairly conservative timing. There's more left in it even just as it sits I'd speculate 475-80 or so if we sat and put it thru the wringer....

Any speculations on what the new motor will make???

375ci, ported 317 heads, truck intake, turbo cam, MP T-76 @ 15psi, 50 shot, race gas and probably some meth too.... I'm shooting for 700ish at the wheels...

Did you end up using that TB I sold you? Just wondering how it worked out for you.
