The Frontier is a product of Nissan’s massive new high-tech Mississippi factory, which was built for the express purpose of producing vehicles specific to the North American market. The first products off the line were the Armada SUV, its Infiniti QX56 sibling and the Titan pickup – big, brawny, V8-powered trucks designed to go head-to-head with established players from GM, Ford and DaimlerChrysler. The same F-Alpha platform developed for these big trucks serves as the basis for the new Frontier as well as the new 2005 Pathfinder and Xterra.

Are not the engines and most of the components of the Titan made in Japan.... just assembled here???
But it is true that in this world economy nothing is truly made in one country anymore.... Here in America most of the manufacturing of all goods is going overseas or south of the border .. The big corporations are shooting themselves and us in the foot... one day we will find ourselves wondering how we ever thought we were all going to make a living in a service economy...

Yeah, it's still foreign. The profits are returning to Japan. Here's the problem with that logic though....DaimlerChrysler is headquartered in Germany now, so the profits are more than likely headed to Germany instead of Detroit. It's getting to be a cloudy deal....
All I know is that my truck was assembled in Ft. Wayne, IN, USA.....and that's all that matters to me

Yea, in reality, foreign and domestic doesn't mean what it used to. Alot of the imports are assembled here, Canada...Mexico...and Japan. Alot of the different manufacturers share parts (foreign and domestic)...there's a Toyota part on just about every car in the world (with the exception of European cars), and there's Delco parts on many Toyotas. Most Domestic vehicles are assembled anywhere from Canada to Mexico.
...guess it depends where the head corporate offices are located...
