I would but it's my pops call, I have to barrow the money from him and he wants me to stay local and it's not going to be just stock it will have some up grades I can post up what the upgrades are after it's done. Plus I could have it back Monday night but I'm on 2-10 this week so I have to pick it up Tuesday morning. But trust me I have been thinking about all of my options. Just sucks it happened now not later in the nicer weather so I could at least bust the ole pedal bike out.

I have to agree, you should have convinced him to go for a built trans. You might be out of a truck a lil longer, but man you would have that much more reliability

 

The sound is coming from the back of the trans. This place is known up this way for good transmissions. I just can't go a few more weeks with out a truck, I'm having a hard time trying to get to work. If I had another car to drive I would be on a FLT Transmission..

Dude, don't even waste any money on an inherently crappy 4l60e.

Buy a cheap 4l60e off craiglist and roll around in that until you can buy a $600 yunkyard 4l80e.

Almost got it out last night. Just have a few more bolts and drop it back. Here is a picture of inside of the pan.



It's not the best picture but you see how much metal is in the pan. Looks like I will be up and running Tuesday or Wednesday.
