Do I fix it with a 6.0L, 4L80E, and upgraded parts OR do I fix it with OEM parts, sell it, and get a Typhoon or Syclone and pay off my debt?
Logic tells me to go with the second option because I owe a lot of money and if I can sell my truck I'll be able to pay that off and essentially "upgrade" to a 13 second truck at the same time... But, I love my truck too much... I like having the ability to tow and I can't do that with a "mini-truck"...
What are y'alls opinions?

When you tow now what do you tow? Boat, trailer, cars? I dont think you would want to be towing with a Sy or Ty, at least not on a regular basis.
What's it going to coat to fix everything the way you want it and add that to what your in debt already, is that much debt tolerable??
And also remember trucks are not going for top buck right now since gas prices are soo high, you may not get what you want for your truck.
Tough decisions for sure.

Here's the situation... I'm 17 years old, going to a new high school next year, have a decent job that pays $400 a week. I owe $3000 to family members, my truck will probably cost 2k to fix, I will have to quit my job once school starts, I can't get another ticket within the next 2 years or I lose my license for 1, and my license is currently suspended for the next 30 days...

I have been having the same dillema myself, One day I want to sell it, then I drive it for a few days and dont. I havent really advertised it, but I am just really doubtful I could get what I want for it. And then I think about it, if I did sell it, I would have another toy that I would be dumping more money into trying to get it where I want it. I know I will never completely be done spending money on the truck, but right now I am pretty happy with it with the exception of wanting a 6.0, built tranny, higher stall, nitrous kit, and drag radials! Oh well I guess its an addiction, but reguardless of what it is pretty much everyone on this website will always have some kind of toy to dump money in. Any way I guess I just talked myself into keeping my truck, unless you have 12k then shoot me a PM. AAAARRRRRRRHHHHH!!!!

As much as it sucks, I think rfoster has the right plan. Debt sucks, losing your license for a year would make your senior year mighty gay. You'll miss your truck, but a slow truck is better than no truck. Shitty deal dude, take it easy out there.
