I have a gauge for that

Just read that whole thread and what I took away from it is the customer, "Curtis", had unrealistic expectations in his timeline and was upset he didnt have the parts he really wanted. The parts jesse used were fine for the job, but the block was bad which led the failure of the whole engine. Jesses way of handling it was unprofessional at best, but I can see how he is understandably frustrated.

he couldn't even get a basic tune right for me & then spent 2 weeks blaming me & my truck for whatever was wrong with the tune. he finally got it right & i drove it long enough to get a Blackbear tune.

This is a pretty unbelievable situation in so many ways... It doesn't matter what the customer's expectations were regarding a time frame, if he couldn't meet it then he should have been honest and told him he couldn't complete the build. I wouldn't have taken my caddy back to the jackass to replace the 4 bolt heads at that point either, much less ever let him touch it again. And yea the block failure caused the engine to go down, but what about the first engine failure??? Who the f$#@ would put a 220 duration cam in a 434?? Nobody gives a **** about your freebie handouts, just build what they are willing to pay for the first time and be done with it. And for the jackass mod asking him to "prove it" regarding the block being used or not disclosing where it came from in general, why not ask his *** buddy to simply "prove" where he got the LSX from with a simple receipt? Surely an engine builder keeps track of his receipts for his purchases. Why wasn't that simple issue disclosed? W4Me failed in so many aspects its sad.
I'm not willing to let anyone turn a wrench under the hood of my stuff due to similar fears on a much smaller scale... I can't imagine the frustrations the op has been living through this...
