Angry Trust???? Have I been ripped???

Hey guys its been a while since I have been on here... I have been hella busy since I have gotten back from deployment, and gotten out of the Navy....

I am writing this to see how you guys would feel or take this if it happened to you... So let me know what you think...

There is a member on here that I became a friends with that had the same style truck as me I will keep his name secret for now.... He is from the same general area as I am from, so there was alot in common there as well... We did some straight up trading of parts between each other, like a roll pan for a bumper, and I even gave him some wheels, and a grill for his truck...

Well about a year ago I totaled my truck, and asked him if he wanted any of my parts. If not I was going to sell them on here, or e-bay... He said yes... So I gave him the parts that he wanted, and I was leaving for deployment so I said we will take care of payment later....

It has been a about a year, and I thought I could use that money for my new project... I was not a dick about it, and I asked him for my money, and if he could not pay it in a lump sum, partial payments would be fine... (He was tight on cash)

Well after that, I had problems contacting him on the phone... I haven't seen any money as he said he was going to send. But I get on here to get in contact with him, I see that he is buying parts, he is going to track rentals, and asking other members for favors, and it is really starting to **** me off... I think I would pay off my debts before doing all of this... Don't you???

It is not a large amount of money, but it's the principle for me... I really would hate to lose a friend over this, and I also would not like for this to happen to any of you... So tell me what your thoughts are and what you would do if you were in my shoes???

Seth

This is one of the reasons to never lend _____ to friends (you fill in the blank). Did he agree to pay $X or did you just show up one day asking for what you think is fair? It's a tough one for sure, I'd probably write it off and know where the friendships ends.

well after being made aware of recent things.
we can do this two ways.
1. you can **** out the cash now.
2. you can take all of my stuff off of your truck now.
he had one year to pay for the ****, telling me your broke now
is way too late.
finding out that he is not broke and buying **** would **** me off
because he lied to my face.
you know if i wanted to tell one whopper of a lie it would be,
why no officer i did not give him permission to take any thing off of my
wrecked truck, how could I, i was shipped off over seas to fight in iraq.
here is a list of the stolin stuff that totals XXXX.xx.
lie to my face and steel from me, oh hell no, i'm going to put a theif in it's place.

I am not going to re-veal who he is unless he screws me.... He contacted me shortly after I posted this, and he said that he is going to make it good... I hope that their are no complications on this attempt on fixing all of this... I am still alittle ticked...

Thanks for the feed back thus far, and it is still welcomed...
