Default Which truck should I sell?

I have been itching to get a Corvette for a few years now. I have found one that I want and am ready to make a move. This puts me in the position to have to sell one of the trucks. They are both paid for and the money from the sell would go towards the loan on the car. This leads me to make a tough decision. I bought the clone in February to mod as I was planning to keep the SS put away for my son who will be driving in the next 5 years. The SS only has 17,000 miles on it. I have taken extreme care of it and would hate to trade it in but it will easily sell for more money than the clone. I am thinking of selling the clone now though since I will be modding the corvette. Should I keep the SS and risk my son not wanting it in the future? At that point it would be worth less than if I sold it todayOr sell the SS and keep the clone for him and take less of a hit if he doesnt want it?

PS I can get $12,500 for the clone and dealer offered $22-23K for the SS

The Clone looks Clean and should be an Easy Sell.

The SS is a little tougher. Yes you can get the money out of it, But the more they get stolen and wrecked the less of them there are. Especially with all the DD's and the milage going up on most of them. Hard to find under 100k miles and really hard to find under 50K miles. Almost rare to find with less than 20K miles these days...

The SS would be tough to replace.

Thanks bud. That's the direction I'm leaning towards. I just think I needed to be reassured.

If it were me I would surely keep the SS!!!

I always wanted a Silver one with AWD and a sun roof.
But factory sun roofs are rare.

I've been looking for a nice SS clone for some time now. Most of them of in the LA area and I believe made with stolen parts.

Shoot me a PM with some details.

I bought this one in Southern California after I seen it in the Truckin magazine at last years throwdown. I have not posted the truck for sale but I have lots of interest in it here in the Pacific Northwest

2004 Silverado 4.8
All SS cladding, seats, gauge cluster
LT headers
Tuned by Izzy Performance
Circle D 3400 Stall
14 bolt rear diff
Couple amps and subs
lowered 4/6

I've driven it less than 100 miles since the purchase in February

i would never give my kid a true SS anything as their first car. A) 6.0 in a boys hands B) you're setting him up for an *** chewing every time theres a new scratch/dent/wreck/come stain...there will be some in highschool and college parking lots.

the SS clone is nicer than 95% of any vehicle that most kids BUY for themselves at that age. 4.8 is still enough to get him in trouble, but not kill himself or another person. this is all said without knowing your son or his maturity level. i was hell on wheels when i was 16. still am lol
