Vince I just bought my girlfiend a TomTom it was around $200. Haven't used it yet but Ill borrow it from her and bring it to the shop if you want to take a look at it.

I got a garmin nuvi 260w and its great. paid like $159 .I bought my dad a tom tom last year and we used it for about 5 min and took it back and got a garmin. When you look at them make sure it says street names instead of just turn right.

Thanks guys keep the feedback coming. I like the idea of the street names being listed. My Dad has a TOMTOM that does it but the cheaper one does not. Looks like I will have to spend a bit more than I originally thought but these things are life savers so to speak. I have to tell you I could get lost in a mall parking lot! I have a Magellan RoadMate 860T North America, way overkill for most but I drive 35-40K per year for work.
Its pretty damm cool but the screen may not be big enough for blind people.
