It's a Mercury Racing 250XS on a 21'10" Bullet. I would rather have a 300XS on it. Your motor can never be too big.

Seriously, you need to check out mastercraft. Seems to be what you are looking for. All depends on your budget.

I would go with outboards if you plan on any salt water, whats the biggest boat you have had? Big boats are harder to control at the dock were most of the damage happens.

If you want easy speed the skater is a great choice... you can get an older 21' that'll do 99mph with a stock 300 merc outboard and still be good on gas.(thats my next boat) you won't be skiing behind it, but it'll fullfill every need for speed you have. If you have never been in a cat, go try it before you do anything else, theres nothing like flying across the water. I have an 18' Donzi classic now with a 410ci small block, the wife hates it cause anything over 70 it starts a slow chinewalk/wiggle. so I'm going to a cat, now she just has to worry about blowing over backwards.

My old 22ZX with a 3 blade prop would chinewalk all over the place. At about 80 the pucker factor went way up! throw on a 4 blade bravo and no problem woulnt not go quite as fast but the girl friend would ride with me

Thats friggin funny, I put on a 24 bravo 4blade.. and it tamed it down allot. 3 blade is exactly as you said. I even added a 1" spacer. my X dim was wayyyy high to start with. it went straight & fast, as soon as I'd try to turn it would start suckin air. the 4 blade helped, but the spacer and the 4 blade cured that. lost about 5 mph. wife still don't like it....

When I first bought the zx It was cold as ***** outside but I had to see how fast it would go so off to the water I go. I have me and a friend in the boat and we are making high speed runs just beside the spillway in the local rez. All of a sudden the boat just fell over on the drivers side. I have never been so scared. 70 plus mph all is well then all of a sudden I chine over on my side of the boat . Once I got it stopped I put that bitch on a trailer and called throttle up and had then send me several props to try.
