Default Things might get interesting around here now.

We have a few guys in a house down the road with some decent cars. One of course is a pewter camaro ss(manual, borla exhaust, lid). He won't ever line up with me. One has an red lt1 camaro(I've posted the vids of that victory. ). The new guy has a Dodge stealth twin turbo. He has raised the boost on it some and he has some stupid loud BOVs on it. It sounds like a F-ing Supra between shifts.

Now...like I said....I've had my way with the lt1, the ss doesn't really pose a threat to me, but I have no idea on the stealth. I know its awd, so it will jump out on me. I'm on my slicks and will have the 150 jets in before the race.

Only mods to the stealth are the ones I posted. What kind of threat will this car pose? Would it be possible to just soft launch it out....then jump on the 150 shot, or will I have to just get lucky and hook it off the line on the shot? How close is this one going to be?

Hey Slow, if that's the only mods he's got, I doubt you'll have much trouble. I'm no expert though. If the boost is high enough it might be a good race though.

We've got a couple of them around here. One is pretty damn fast, 11's I think, but I believe he's got quite a bunch of stuff on it.

I believe the other ones in the 13's maybe. Word to the wise though, from what I've seen they ALWAYS hook well off the line.

Maybe someone with more knowledge of these cars will chime in.

I think you can take the stealth on motor(have the nitrous ready just in case ) Depending on what year it is they are 300-320 hp stock. It most likely will be heavy for a car because of the AWD, and the AWD is going to suck up some hp. I figure those cars probably run a mid to low 14 stock depending on driver, maybe some upper 13's. It will probably come down to just how much he has raised the boost and how well he can drive.
Be sure to get it on video regardless

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm getting older and going off of memory. The Stealth was discontinued before the 3000GT, and the last few years of the 3000 the VR-4 ran mid 13's, the previous year tt's were upper 13's to low 14's. So if its a stealth and not a 3000, it would be one of the slower ones, so I would think you would be ok.

For some reason I want to say that the Stealth's were lighter than the 3000GT's?

I have seen stock turbo cars go low 12's on street tires due to there AWD advantage.Low 12's are from someone with alot of boost all of the boltons and driving it like they hate it.

Most basicly stock ones run closer to mid 13's.

I still always have respect for AWD turbo cars on the street.
