Yes the lakes and in turn rivers are bad off. Lake Travis is close to 20' low now.

That's nothing, we've got 80% humidity for a heat index of well over 120. Granted this isn't normal but its not unusual.

Yeah, I was just picking. Today is a very cool day. Actually the weather has been very nice here in NY lately for a change.

It's not quite that bad here, we've been having mid 90's to low 100's with 70-90% humidity. Indexes have been ranging everywhere from 99 - 112 for the last 2-3 weeks.

I just bought a 4 bedroom 2 bath just shy of 1800 sq ft for a little over 100K, it was a foreclosure but in good condition and was built in 04 on a decent sized corner lot. Our cost of living is WAY lower so you could take a 50% paycut and probably increase your standard of living. I know a lot of people who have moved from CA to especially here in Austin with all the techy crap and have taken huge paycuts but are able to afford more.
Yeah..I figured as much..that house would be $675k-850k where I am at..It comes down to quality of life..and like you said, If you like warm weather..Texas is hard to beat..Who knows, I may move there one day
