it's not free money. It will come out of your tax return in future years. Do you really think they're going to dish out "free" money when we're 8 trillion dollars in debt.

I wonder if they'll mark it as taxable income?

Bush did this for the first time ever a few years back with a Republican ran congress and the Democrats kicking and screaming. It was only $300 if I remember correctly. Well, it did some good from what I remember but nothing substantial. Mainly giving back some of what the Clinton admin. had taken to "balance the budget". Now being election time both parties are for it so they wouldn't be the one who "didn't give you money". I f-in hate politics and wish Ross Perot would have never dropped out of the race back in what 92? He didn't care about politics. He was going to do what was right and didn't care what anyone thought. I was too young to vote at the time but was for his views.

this has been all over the news, it is not taxable income,,,,,,,,,, you won't pay it back in the years to come, so to speak. if the raise taxes to pay for the deficit than yes you will pay more taxes but not because of this.

Correct.. Its $600 a person or $1200 if you are married. If you make more then like $85K as a individual or more then like $155K as husband and wife you get less.

lol, you got to be kidding.....I really don't see any faster 60's with it. Now mine is coming on at 3000, I might try lowering that down to 2800 but still not much difference.
