Default it sounds really funny... but what if...

what if... now this is mostly for just... schlitts and giggles... but. what if i got a hold of a decent intercooler, piping, and routed and mounted the stuff to just a stocker motor? to see if it would be better than a cold air intake. and... when money flows more than my toilet i will get a procharger and supporting mods. but what if... i mean yea its only purpose would be to start with a base setup and then tweek it for best fitment and look until the boost actually flows... smart? or not? my idea is that with much longer tubing and no force pushing air around would reduce something. i mean the intercooler would chill the air, but on a stocker motor i would think it would just be too much for the air to flow through... watcha think? i mean this is pure speculation. but let me know. ive been thinking about it just for fun. im bored. wish i had a garage to work on my baby...

You know how many times this question has been asked?

Do you even know what an intercooler does? Think about it, Air to Air intercooler....

The coldest you can hope for is ambient, so no, it wont do anything but heat up the air since you are basically circulating the air through a hot can before it enters the engine.

lol. no it was just me asking. i seriously was uh... in the lavatory when it kinda just flowed out in such a way. i know it would not do anything. i didnt know there was a place for this kind of non sense talk on this forum... like i said i was bored. im actually building my list of parts for the motor. looking at my financial situation for trans building. but uh... yea... i really wish i had the blow to get my dream motor and lovely procharger... but... tasty top romen noodles be how i kick it in college. chevy scott... yes. i completely understand what an intercooler does. it may sound weird, but i spend maybe 2 hours a night reading everyones threads. gathering ideas and important info about products. however most dont apply to me because you guys are all about the new motors. id love to do that, but on a different ride. my first idea when i got my ride was stroked 350 with forced induction. and im stickin with it. but... right now im trying to see where i can get room to build my trans. believe me, you take a class in transmission 1135 and man, you feel much more confident. but ok... so... wanna hear a really good story about d.i.y intake... buddy goes to home depot. gets dryer duct, puts it on his honda civic and routes it down into the wheel well... first puddle gets sucked into the filter and yea... well i bombed that one...
