That reminds me of a guy i met about 2 nights ago. He called me up wanting to come look at my katana motorcycle i had for sale. Well he was like 20 minutes late, pulled up in a 00 T/A, and was like "Sorry i'm late, had to get some gas, this thing only gets about 8 mile to the gallon" and i was like "Damn, what you got done to it" he replied "Nothing, just wider tires in the back" and i'm like ok, well he looked at the bike and this and that and i asked if he ever run the car at the track, he said no but he has raced ppl and has an idea on about what it would run, so i asked what he though, he replied "Somewhere from about a mid 10 to a high 10" and i was like "In the 8th???" and he said "no, quarter, which you know, isn't THAT bad for a stock car" and then i pissed myself laughing, nah not really, but i bit my tongue and continued to tell him about my truck and the minor mods i had done to it, and then he said he had a 66 oldsmobile that he put LT's, headwork and a carb and it would toat the front tires about half track, it was almost embarassing to talk to him b/c my g/f started laughing at him b/c even she knows more than he did

 

So you think he bought it used and it already had mods done and was quick or he just had no idea how fast it as? I mean if he REALLY is only getting 8mpg, something had to be done to it. Or his gas tank leaks.

 

well he said he traded in his escalade and a 929 motorcycle for it and he was still paying something like 450 a month, so i'm pretty sure he's just a big BS'er

 

of course the import with 11:1 is goingto be different- you need to convert it to metric!!

 

Or I met a guy one time telling me that the V10 in his dodge truck is the same exact V10 in the viper, but a different computer. I hate all of this computer this computer that talk. I got a chip, computer, arrrrrrsght STFU!!

I wonder why some people lie and make it so obvious? I was talking to a guy that worked at Best Buy one day and we were talking about wheels and such. He then tells me that he has some kind of 17's on his Honda(I took it that it was probably a Civic), and we talk some more. A little later into the conversation he then tells me he is about to put 28's on his Escalade, I cut the conversation short after he said this..

 

haha like a guy working at best buy has the money for either. Those wheels alone would cost more than his POS civic.

I hate the people up at the muffler shop who know absolutely nothing about mufflers that arn't flowmaster. I told the guy i would be getting a Dynomax unit and he said "flowmaster's better". It's one of those times where you wish you could tell the guy exactly what he knows, but he'd do a shitty job, so i just let it go.

There's just something about people who worship flowmaster that gets my blood boiling. They think they know everything about exhaust because someone told them it was good. most flows i've heard actually sould like ****, but the moment these people hear that said exhaust is flowmaster, they say it sounds great. It's the kind of 1984ish doublethink that makes me fear for my generation.

A guy around here had a Hummer on 28's. He's a rim dealer and still paid 15K for the set. I don't think they will even fit on an Escalade.
