note to self: buy cb before going on long road trip.
Yes, the CB sure does add some excitement to a drive. And don't get the cheap-o's at Walmart. I had one, and the problem is the squelch is really bad. As in, either you get static with people's transmissions, or you can't hear them at all (squelched out). I like the Classic 29 Cobra w/ Weatherband (what I have in the C/K) and Classic 29 Cobra w/o Weatherband (what I rotate between the other vehicles). Just remember to get a SWR tune before you go, especially if your unit doesn't have a SWR tuner. And either get a mike w/ volume control + battery, or a unit with a dynamike. Coming from someone who went the cheap route, it isn't worth it.

haha c'mon even I (living in Arizona of all places) know that snow is SO much worse than rain.. I drove up 2 Strawberry 1 time at 10 o clock at night with a rain that was about 20-30 mins ahead of me and when the turn said 65 I took it at 60 cuz those are hard curves on the down grades in dry climates and this one has a bump and I almost **** my pants over the 1st time going up there when it was dry and hot as **** out. Haha, people never cease to amaze tho

I thought the moral of the story was going to be the guy that was "sleeping" actually had died....

Driving in the snow gets really intesting, especially for my peg leg v-8 1 wheel drive.

River Edge is in Bergen County, by Paramus, Hackensack, Oradell. I guess it would be around exit 161 off of the Garden State Pkwy. I live real close to Rt 4, so I get traffic from all of the Paramus malls as well as the George Washington Bridge into NY lol.

I think that I've been out to Hopewell...I've definitely been to Mercer County and I've been on those highways that you've mentioned. We're not real close, but we're not really that far either...probably an hour or less I'd guess

tdrumm is another member here who is about 10 minutes away from where I live

Don't remember, but I know I've been there lol. Probably buying car parts I found in the WantAd Press, back in the day. I used to travel hours buying parts for my old Camaro, Monte Carlo, step-dad's 67 Nova, etc.

I used to go to Englishtown quite a bit, but I haven't been there for about a summer or two since wifey was pregnant and I became a daddy 15 months ago (August 31, 2006)
