So, as most of you already know I got rid of 'Ol Blackey'.



Long story short im moving off to wichita falls to finish my bachelors degree.
In the last 3 months I had nothing but problems with the truck. Shortblock, and trans went out and I was tired of throwing money at it and working on the damn thing.
I ended up trading the truck as is with 1-2 gear, no a/c, and a messed up grill/bumper.
I got a 97 Prelude and $1k to pay off my card so I will be debt free for college.

The car has power everything! Locks, windows, sunroof. Cold a/c and it has cruise control. NONE of which i had with the truck.

All in all I have learned ALOT from you guys and im not going anywhere. I'll still be hanging out around this forum and im NOT joining the darkside a.k.a. Ricerville. I just needed something comfortable/ reliable for 2yrs while i finish college.


I'll be back into the truck scene after college don't you worry. I guess after being out of HS for 5+ years I decided that I need to finish what i started. I'll be able to do bigger/better things after school. Plenty of time for fun


Anyways... let the flaming begin as if it hasn't already started

But I understand why you did it and wish you every good fortune life has to offer.

 

It was tough seeing her go but im pretty sure most would have done the same thing if put in my shoes. I'll still be hanging around though. I've made to many good friends around here!

 

Congrats man. Smart move. Good things will come you just have to wait a bit.

 

It will be best in the long run man. I know i give you a hard time alot, but that is what friends do.... Anyways, you have gained alot of respect from me putting your education first above the fun stuff... Given your age and goals, education should come first. Also now you will finally get that college experience... IMO college is not just about learning scholastic things, it is also a prep time for the rest of your life.. You will make mistakes, screw up but you will over come them on your own without the aid of your parents.. And you will get to bang some college women or men, which ever you prefer...

Thanks guys! I know deep down its the right decision but it still sucks being slow again! lol Good thing I have friends with fast cars/trucks.

I'll def be a PT.neter for life! haha too many smart/cool people to not be around here. Plus like i said, i'll be back in the truck scene after school.
