We get home from the fire works at the harbor tonite from the boat, I come home after she does(got a ride back on another boat). She had come in threw the front sliding door. Anyhow I get home a lil ago, she say she heard a hissing sound at her on the patio when she came in. She said it was a lil mole that a fox or a cat or somthing got ahold of. I go check it out, it was a mole, it was dieing. So I told here it needed to be put out of it misseray, instead of suffering, I took care of it, so now she is pissed at me for doing that. Am I right here or should I have let it suffer till its end????????????

Sounds all too familiar. I was about to take a rabbit out that had been limping around from a cat attack. She saw me with the shovel in one hand and said "What are you doing?!?!?!"
Needless to say he took the varmint to the himane society to have them kill it. I told her on the way home that they just wacked them with shovels anyways and did not waste lethal injection drugs on wild animals.
She was not happy. Oh well.
I don't like killing anything but when its suffrening you have to do something.

 

How did you kill it.........12 gauge! We use to kill those moles at my folks house in Wisconsin all the time with a trap with spikes. It did not always complete the job so I used a large fillet knife to finish the job! Damn grass killers I hate them! Ok rant over!

 

Nah, it had to be done. If you killed it for fun, then she'd have a reason to be mad at ya. But you were sending it to mole heaven instead of letting it become a cat toy, so good for you.
