I had a dodge quad cab as a rental one time, I was not impressed. I guess it all boils down to personal opinion.

Drove my buddy's new CC Hemi a couple of years ago. Felt huge inside, definitely taller and larger all the way around. I was impressed with the tight feeling of cornering, very little body roll. However the Hemi in that heavy pig felt like a slug compared to my 4.8 and his mileage was terrible. Very nice truck but I would probably rather have a GM.

I have been a long time Dodge Fan ( I have also owned other makes ) and decided to give Dodge one more try... The 03 Ram Sport I have has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned despite countless 1/4 slips and not being babied at all.... Brakes are LIGHTYEARS ahead of my 99 and most all other vehicles I have ever owned.. I now have over 50,000 on the truck with no trips to the dealer with the execption of a rotor TSB. I am quite happy with this purchase and Dodge keeps a customer.... If this one had been junk my next purchase would have been Chevy..

Weird! Mama's daily is a 1996 Indy Ram and I drive the **** outta that thing every time I get in it, ask 1979rs/z28. The only complaint I have is that the 17's are such a tight fit on the front that it shaves the wheel weights but that's it. I probably put 11mi. on the odometer for every 10mi that I go in that thing, it's a peg-legger , but she takes it no problems. I like the brakes, don't get me wrong the 3rd Gen. 4-wheel discs are MUCH better but the 1996's will hold their own too. All 1990's paint sucks, just a matter of fact. The primer was absolute !

Congrats on seeing the light 1slow01Z71. If ya like the RCLB 3.7 you need to drive a RCSB HEMI!

Ill still stick to my Z. The aftermarket just isnt there for you dodge guys and ya'lls a/c system SUCKS. It is necessary down here in TX. I would like a hemi powered rcsb for a DD but I dont need an extra truck. A bike, truck and work truck are enough for me to get around where I need to go.

Yup it's a 2500 but I've driven a 2500 silvy and it rides the same as my truck.

I've also drivin a 1500 ext gasser dodge, 2002 I believe it was and it rode like total ****, worse than my dad's 04 Cummins.

I pick my truck over both of them, easily.

To each their own I just started the thread to say that dodge makes a nice truck and I enjoy driving my work truck and it sure as hell beats how the f-150s we have drive and the old chevys we have.

If I'm not mistaking the 3.7L has the same dimensions for pistons/rods as the old slant 6, they're both 225cid, so there's a good chance it's 100% indestructible.

2500 and 3500 Rams have coil sprung solid axles in the front and GM has ifs with torsion bars. There's a big difference in the two as to how they ride. I'd prefer the Dodge for offroad since that truck was made mainly for work and not a carlike ride. Haven't ridden in a newer Dodge 1500 so I can't comment on them.

I was happy when my dad's company stopped buying fords for their work truck and went to chevy is 04. =P

My dad still got the dodge though since he gets to pick his truck. He's getting a new truck in 07 and I'm hoping he likes the look of the GMT-900s
