Default Small Car V8 Project

Lookin to pick up a small car to drop a 4.8 or some LS based engine in, but dont know what to start with, so what are some pre 75 RWD light weight smaller cars

gimme some ideas, saw a 1971 toyota crown today at the body shop with a small block in it, and that looked pretty bad *** IMO,
but everyone shoot me some ideas. kinda wanna stay away from datsun 240/260/280z as those are fairly common, might consider a datsun 510 tho..

so lets hear em.

:edit: pre 75 is ideal but doesnt have to be set in stone, been lookin around at toyotas, datsuns, volvos

a datsun 510 would be good to but it would take alot of fabwork to squeeze an lsx into or just use a small northstar v8 and it would work great too.

also look for a bmw 2002

80s BMW 3 series, I love the little square body look, but it would be a tight fit. Toyota Cressidas from the 80s and early 90s. Look at mini trucks too, they're cheap as hell and light.

how hard are the opels to find, and how pricey, doesnt look like a cheap car

might end up with a 240/260/280 after lookin around, or a mini truck, tho i kinda wanted a car

i wouldnt mind a luv, but most are total loss rust buckets

I wouldn't mind doing a miata swap. Yeah its a girly car but it has really good suspension, its really light and there are several kits and a lot of other people have done all of the research.
