Your story wasn't the full reason, I've heard a couple in person. I don't see how he still sells converters with his reputation.

Still no good word everyone. I have found that the converter was shipped back to John on June 17th... so he has had the damn thing for almost a month now and not filed a claim and not contacted me at all. This was his only response in my Tech thread (which was actually I believe last week, and he is saying DHL hasnt delivered anything to them... I have a ******* tracking # and I checked it and it was returned and signed for by Howard Johnson which is Fuddles builder)
I also love the part when he says "In the initial dealings with this case, you made the decision to circumvent us from the process"... CAUSE YOU WOULDNT ******* ANSWER ME *******, wtf am I supposed to do??
What shocks me is no one from Tech will step in and do something, this guy is ******* around with my money and I am getting sick and tired of it, I had to put my new converter on my CC and still cant pay it off yet cause I havent got my refund, its ******* ridiculous
DHL hasn't delivered anything to us. Chances are that they are looking at in their claims department. In the initial dealings with this case, you made the decision to circumvent us from the process. The converter is covered under insurance. You had a couple choices about the process from there. You chose to go through the DHL claims process instead. This presents us a risk. We certainly cannot give you the money upfront if DHL denies the claim. We are at the mercy of DHL on this one. As I last wrote you in an email, when we know, you will.
