A better work environment is easily worth the drop in pay. Plus atleast now they are considering giving you more money at your current place.

Sorta, as long as the numbers all work out. Single people with no retirement have it easy, got to the withholding tables on IRS' site. You can see how much you owe at any time.

Man, I couldn't agree more. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, but work environment comes with a price.

dude you look at UNH tail all day. easy decision in my opinion.

but seriously, i'd stay where you are. try and get your current job to either match or at least give you a raise. most employers don't want to go through the hassle of having to find and train new employees and all that fun stuff.

as for the overtime, they call us "hourly salaried" lol. i get the same paycheck every 2 weeks and have to work 81hrs during those 2 weeks. anything over that i get an extra $6/hr. It's kinda bullshit but that's the way it is.

I've worked a TON of overtime in the past several months. Last paycheck was 129hrs. Paid $12,000 on the cc since November 1. WOW!!!!!!!!

i told my boss today that i was offered the job and NEED the money. His response was, "well we don't want to lose you. let me see if we can match the offer"

match the offer? wow, If I was you I wouldnt even consider leaving now

Any time someone has to offer a big bonus to get you to sign there contract you are pretty much going to be there slave. If it were me I would stay with what you have, especially if they are willing to give you a good bonus, and vacation. I would just try to live as fruggle as I could, and start making big payments on the bills. Seems like alot of debt, but once you start whacking at it it will come down fast. Did you get that KB on yet?
