If you are an hourly employee and not paid time and 1/2 for hours beyond 40 in a week, it may be a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. You should consult with a labor attorney in your area. You may be an exempt employee under the FLSA, but that should be confirmed by an attorney. Companies constantly overlook FLSA requirements.

good point. most employees that don't get paid time and 1/2 for 40+ are on a salary. Nice job picking up on that Moog.

yes i make $60/hr. I hear ya about the clientele. I'm not sure i could handle them. might have to punch a bag lady, lol.

as for the overtime, they call us "hourly salaried" lol. i get the same paycheck every 2 weeks and have to work 81hrs during those 2 weeks. anything over that i get an extra $6/hr. It's kinda bullshit but that's the way it is.

I've worked a TON of overtime in the past several months. Last paycheck was 129hrs. Paid $12,000 on the cc since November 1. WOW!!!!!!!!

i told my boss today that i was offered the job and NEED the money. His response was, "well we don't want to lose you. let me see if we can match the offer"

my ex would get time and a half and double time, was nice when she was getting 120.00 dollars an hour double time or even tripple time on a holoday 180.00 an hour, she used to pay more in taxes than I would make, and my pay isn't chicken scratch

81hrs in 2 weeks isn't bad considering an extra $6/hr after. That's a good deal to me. That would be sweet if they can match the offer. Always good to work a better deal and stay where you like it.
