Default Scion to build truck?

Toyota’s trendy Scion division unveiled something called a Tall Two-Box concept, dubbed t2B, at the New York auto show, but don’t get caught up in names and numbers. This is the vehicle that will replace Scion’s xB, as soon as the company’s youth-oriented customers stop buying the current Tall Two-Box.

“That xB has a lot of legs—it’s kind of a cult vehicle,” said Toyota vice president Don Esmond at the t2B’s New York premiere. “This [t2B] would be a good follow-up.”

That’s pretty promising for a vehicle that was introduced strictly as a design concept. t2B was developed by Calty Design Studio, Toyota’s Southern California design house, which also created two one-quarter-scale design concepts for the same platform, a sporty Fastback model and the Cargo, a pickup truck. Nobody is making any promises, but don’t be surprised if one or all of these ideas make it to the showroom once the xB wears out its welcome.

Gas keeps going up and I may entertain any options that have a bed and are miserly on fuel.

The XB looks crazy but with gas as high as it is and me having to drive 30 miles to school each way I really like it.. 25 bucks to fill up and getting 350-385 miles to a tank sure beats 50 and getting that same amount of mileage lol.. That thing sure is a pig though.. I dont think I could outrun anything out there, but it sure saves me a ton of money..
