Has anyone ever bought a refurbished dell laptop off the internet??? if so have you run into any problems? and what is the condition like, are the screens still new???? any help would be great, im trying to get a new laptop thats fully loaded and i cant really afford it unless its refurbished

 

bought one off ebay to tune my truck it had a 90 day warranty and new screen. The cd drive was loose in the bay but everything works and still does even with me throwing it around and beating on it. Cant remeber the company they were very large and had a big number of purchases, I had good customer support they responded to emails on time and sent me a new power cord when I asked for one no questions asked I would buy from them again cost me around 320
for something with minimal use it does its job well even if it is a p3 and slow as ****.

I say anything thats a refurb will be a 50/50 gamble!! One can be good and the other bad!

 

i bought a refurb for 320 as well, works great for what I ask of it...my truck. refurbs are chancy, but money talks.

 

We resell them where i work. The refurbished ones straight from dell are usually decent, just the batteries arent guaranteed and about 1/2 the time they are already worn out. Otherwise, very few problems with the actual machine itself.... Just be prepared as the batteries are over 100 bucks for a new one if you get a bad battery. For the most part the latitudes are pretty solid laptops though.. Good luck
