Default Poor customer service??

So, I ordered some parts from a company who I thought was fairly reputable. I ordered a custom cam, springs, and pushrods on June 30. I received the cam only on August 5th, after being told 3-4 weeks. I can live with this, except still no springs and pushrods?? I emailed them and was told that the rest would be here no later than the 11th and still nothing. Am I being too impatient or is this just not acceptable?

Unacceptable. They gave you a date and your stuff should be here. I HATE and I mean HATE when people say something will be here by a certain date and its not. It doesnt matter what the excuse is, the company is responsible for taking into account all areas concerning selling and shipping their product.

I'm glad I wasn't out of line then, I emailed the guy demanding my product or a refund by the end of the week. I probably shouldn't put the name out there, but I'm going to anyways. It's Engine Power Systems, I was referred by many to get a custom spec'd cam from Pat G. So I did, and this is where it lead me... Patrick did his part in a very timely manner and has no affiliation in the rest of the process. I'm sure I'll be very satisfied with the cam, once I can get the rest of the valve train to put this motor together.

dont feel bad man.. IIRC geoff runs the whole place by himself dont quote me on that tho. i went over there one day and it was just him.

Yeah, every time i've been there, he's been the only one there too! I got my cam from geoff too and it took about 4 weeks i think. he sends it out to comp to get it cut. I would be pissed too but he's a good guy and i don't think he trying to screw you.

the cam delay is outta Geoffs hands. Comp took 5 weeks to get my cam cut!!! i got my pushrods/springs on my own. Geoff is a good guy, but like Daryn said, he is the Only ome working/running the business.

Yes, Geoff is a stand up guy. He called me today and we straightened everything out. I just didn't understand why I received my cam BEFORE my springs and pushrods. They will be on my doorstep in a couple hours so all is good. He didn't hesitate to call me and discuss what was goin on, I don't have any hard feelings towards him. I just wish he would've told me it was going to take longer, instead of over promising. I guess that's what I should have expected using the "middle man." Next time I will do the rest of the parts gathering myself.
