Default A-pillar gauges

Why would someone put Water temp. or oil pressure or oil temp. in the a-pillar? What are they used for? Pros and cons?

I moved this to the 'truck stop' for lack of a better forum to place it in.

To answer your question it would be for that go-fast look as there is a water temp (although inacurate) and oil pressure stock in a few clusters and a simple cluster swap will provide that if it isn't stock for your vehicle.
Any gages on an A-pillar shoul be be to monitor Nitrous/Turbo/Supercharger function. Not that oil pressure and water temp aren't important, just that putting them on a pillar pod is kinda _____...you can fill in the blank.

I have an Interceptor guage that I need to mount, and I was wanting to mount 2 guages instead of just one(only cuz I think 1 looks silly, lol). I am not running gas, and Im not boosted. I was looking at Oil temp as an option, any other ideas? If the oil temp is an ok idea, whats the best route to hook it up on these trucks? Iv seen a thread simliar to this before, but cant find it.

Plus on a new vehicle a scangauge will pretty much replace the entire cluster.

I think your asking where you can mount one or two... am I right?

If so look at this thread i started asking basically the same thing. Couple suggestions in there you may like.
