Yes it was a mess!
the bad thing was they were on a highway, speed limit is 55. They almost trippled the speed limit.
thats why i never want a Camaro, ill never forget that.
i got my truck and its plenty fast enough. even though it dont even run a 15flat.

I had a friend in high school that had a similar accident. He had an older Monte Carlo with strong 350....3.42 gears.....he had it at 6800 rpms in drive when approaching a slight curve in the road. Ran off the road hit the edge of a driveway clipped a few trees and all 3 people in the car were ejected....one of my friends died. That old monte carlo was just scrap metal....there was not one piece left good on the car. The Drive Shaft came through the floor board. It was a horrible crash and being at the scene right after it happened is and always will be burned into my mind. Sorry to hear about your cousin.

Default Keep it on the track

I had a friend of mine do the same thing with an older model camaro with a 455 in it. They went off of a curve at 125 then were airborn over 150 feet and they hit head on into a pine tree. He and his brother hadmultiple broken bones but unfortunately their two best friends burned in the car. I tell my younger nephews are are speed freaks like me and my brother tokeep the racing on the track with known road conditions and safety precautions. How long ago was that wreck three83? I live in Crowley and I am sure I remember that wreck.

There arent a lot of ways to survive 150mph blowout in a street car. Anything at interstate speed alone is dicey.
