Default PC help needed. Wireless LAN

I'm hooking up a 7-8 year old DELL desktop that doesn't have a wireless card. Ebay seems about the only place to find a wireless usb for it but there are so many and range from a couple dollars to a hundred. When you see a name brand one it is high. My question is, does anyone know which one is any count? I'd love to get one for $10 bucks but don't want a POS.

I paid $50 for a Belkin USB bluetooth to make my printer wireless so I could hide it in a cabinet. It would not work unless the usb reciever was outside the cabinet....worthless and defeats the point. In the reviews people said it would work across their house through walls.
