Still tryin to dial in a load for my .270. Think i found one..
200yards 2 shots low and right of center, one hole.
adjusted the scope and put 2 in the center and 6" high.

Putting a muzzle brake on it in 2 weeks, maybe my shoulder wont be hurting as bad after blasting away for 50 rounds.
Its just a factory Rem 700 SPS Synthetic stock, factory trigger adjusted to 2#, Millett TRS 4-16x50 140gr Berger VLDs loaded with 58.75 grains of H4831 and Benchrest primers.
More to come this weekend at 400yds.. then 600 then 800 then 1000

I hate my area. I can only shoot 100 yards at any range in connecticut. I can make one jagged hole with the occasional flyer once in a while. Whats the length on your barrel? I have the 18" barrel on my .308

Still looking for a new stock for it. Mine hasn't given me any issues yet with touching the barrel while shooting but I know it's a problem with these stocks. What's your setup?

Im on my cell so i cant copy links. Go to remingtons web site and look up the 700 SPS. Its their cheapest one
We have enough open space that you can see further than you can shoot. Ill try to snap some pics when im lettin the barrels cool off. Ill have to measure again but i think its 2200 or 2400 yards from corner to corner at my buddys farm. If thats not enough, theres a stretch of creek bout 4 miles west of there. Prolly a good 2 miles long. Nice bluff to shoot off of, big sand bank as a back stop.
