A guy test drove my SS and said his old LT1 would do low 10s and it was heads and cam car would do mid 9s with 150 shot.

I said 1/4 mile?

He said yes. Trapped 137 mph

I told him good thing I'm selling this LS1 guess ill have to get a LT1 now

He said yeah they are just as good as any LS1

I just shut up

 

THE WORST and what I hate to hear:

Showed a friends dad my cammed 4.8 and open the cutout
He said yeah no big deal. Eric's truck does that when he flips the same switch. I said no Eric has a a diesel that's a lope tune. He said yeah just like u got.


Anytime I had my truck people always ask:
"what kinda tune you got on that?"
Or
"where can I get a lope tune for my 1/2 ton?"

Oh my it hurts to even tell the stories.

Haha gah i love these stories. Sad part is, nobody can just make up something like that.....

 

An older gentleman that has quite a few classic cars and has had a few nice classic trucks bought a Turbo Beatle for a DD and was trying to tell me how our vehicles were similar and how fast his car was.

I just smiled and told him I am glad he enjoys his new car.

 

I had a guy with a built 6.2/ProCharged crew cab 4x4 truck tell me he gets 20 mpg highway. Truck looked way too fast to get that kind of mpg's.

 

As long as it NEVER enters boost and the converter stays locked and there is a slight tail wind.......it does pretty good on the hwy

 

Got told the other day that nitrous doesn't add much power and that his his dodge gas burner will beat my truck cause he had two chips, so I told him I had 15...

Had a girl at the bar the other night tell me she had the fastest truck in town(stock lightning), so I asked her if she was gonna let me spray it and she said no, so I told her to take her blower belt off and she said no cause its factory. So i said you think anything in my truck is factory? So she wouldn't race me on motor but still claimed to have the fastest truck.

 

Seen a guy had a pimped out 99 grand am (worst iv ever seen) tell me it had stage 3 intake and exhaust and it had run low 12s and hi 9s with the chip on.

Also had a guy tell me once his buddy had an 06 Camaro with a 7 level chip and had run 9s and it was only on level 5. (must of been around diesels to much lol)

I had a co-worker(oldtimer) that bought a 06-07 1500 with the 6.0L and he was convinced it was a 400ci. After going back and forth for a few minutes I just gave up.....
